Hypertension is an incurable underlined sickness that leads to strokes, heart attacks, heart failure, and or kidney disease in the World today.
The goal of anti-hypertensive is to regulate high blood pressure and protect essential organs like the brain, heart, and kidneys etc from damage. Hypertension or High blood pressure is a common disease that develops when blood flows through your arteries at higher-than-normal pressures.
Your blood pressure is made up of two numbers: systolic and diastolic. Systolic pressure is the pressure when the ventricles pump blood out of the heart. Diastolic pressure is the pressure between heartbeats, when the heart is filling with blood. For most adults, a healthy blood pressure is usually less than 120 over 80 millimeters of mercury, which is written as your systolic pressure reading over your diastolic pressure reading—120/80 mm Hg.
You usually don’t have symptoms from high blood pressure until it has caused serious health problems. That is why it is important to have your blood pressure checked regularly. Your doctor will diagnose you with high blood pressure if you have consistently high blood pressure readings.
How to control or Manage Hypertension
Hypertension is manageable but it depends on your lifestyle and attitude towards your health. Now, if I may ask, what kind of lifestyle do you practice, and do you think they can in anywhere affect your health in the negative aspect? To effectively manage hypertension, it requires compliances of both the patient and the doctor to work together in other to achieve the desired result in pharmacology and non pharmacology interventions to prevent unwanted outcome. It can lead to severe health complications and increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and sometimes death.
Lifestyle adjustments are best ways to manage hypertension in the sense that there are habits you must let go and there are some you must inculcate. Hence, practice the following:
• Exercise Regularly: engage in walking, jogging, swimming, etc.
• Good Habit: reduce salt intake, eat more fruits and vegetables and less fatty foods.
• Watch your weight
• Stress reduction: this goes a long way in helping to release the arteries and the heart, meditate, do jogger, and always take warm baths practice.

Eliminate the bad habits such:
• Consuming alcohol
• Self-Medications
• Avoid eating unhealthy foods
• If you smoke, quit smoking
