Telmisartan which belongs to an ARB class of Antihypertensive drugs improves glucose metabolism in hypertensive patients with the metabolic syndrome in addition to its anti-hypertensive effect.
And Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic, it dilates the blood vessels, reduces blood pressure without affecting pulse rate. And increase excretion of sodium and chlorides.
